ECG in Clinical Practice


The ECG is very useful in clinical practice. We have already seen how the ECG is the gold standard for the management of arrhythmia (Part III) as well as atrial and ventricular block and pre-excitation in Chapters 5, 7, and 8.


In Chapter 9 we have also seen its importance in the description of not only the electrophysiologic mechanisms, but also the importance of the ECG in the clinical diagnosis of different syndromes related to ischemia and necrosis.
