Quadricuspid Aortic Valve


Computed tomography scan suggested that the aortic diameter was relatively normal and that the descending aorta was entirely normal.


Coronary arteriogram documented normal coronary arteries.


Because the patient had moderate AR and LV dysfunction, to avoid irreversible myocardial dysfunction, the patient underwent aortic valve replacement with a #27–29 On-X mechanical bileaflet prosthesis and reduction aortoplasty (plication between felt strips).
