PP-022 Association of Coronary Atherosclerosis and Latent Chronic Kidney Disease in Turkish Population

Objective

As already known there is strong association between chronic kidney disease (CKD) and atherosclerotic coronary disease. In this study we aimed to evaluate the relationship between coronary artery disease (CAD) and renal dysfunction level (RDL) in a group of Turkish patients.

Methods

414 consecutive patients undergoing cardiac catheterization were enrolled. Angiograms were reviewed and Gensini scores were determined. Estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) was calculated and classified. CKD was defined as eGFR < 60 ml/min. The results were obtained by calculating ‘p’ value by ‘z’ test, ‘t’ test, chi-square test, as appropriate to see the difference between two groups. The results thus obtained were plotted on table, pie-chart, line chart, bar-diagram etc. as appropriate p value <0.05 was considered significant.
