PP-008 Effects of Enoxaparin, Acetylsalicylic Acid, Clopidogrel and Tirofiban on Postoperative Bleeding in CABG Patients

Objectives

Postoperative bleeding is a major cause of mortality and morbidity after CABG. Off-pump CABG techniques, quitting antiplatelet and anticoagulant agents before surgery can reduce postoperative bleeding. In our study, we investigated postoperative bleeding at CABG patients whom exposed to enoxaparin, acetyl salicylic acid, clopidogrel and tirofiban prior to surgery.

Methods

Between January 2014 and January 2015 149 patients underwent CABG were retrospectively evaluated. 45 of them were operated without cardiopulmonary bypass while remaining 104 patients were operated on-pump. Patients divided into four groups according to drugs that they received in the preoperative period. First group received only enoxaparin (n=25), second group received both enoxaparin and acetylsalicylic acid (n=44). Enoxaparin, acetyl salicylic acid and clopidogrel were administrated to the third group (n=57) and the last group (n=23) were the patients receiving enoxaparin, acetyl salicylic acid, clopidogrel and tirofiban.

This treatment protocols were decided with a heart team according to patients’ clinical status, comorbidities, urgency and symptoms. Postoperative drainage, re-operation, ICU/hospital stay period were recorded.
