Mean age of the study population was 62±12 years (67% male). The percentage of patients with hypertension, diabetes mellitus, hyperlipidemia, family history, and smoking were 71%, 36%, 50%, 25%, and 26%, respectively. 29% of the patients had previous history of percutaneous coronary intervention or coronary by-pass surgery. The average GRACE score was 124±36. We performed diagnostic coronary angiography for 72 % of the patients, percutaneous coronary intervention for 27% and coronary by-pass surgery for 14%. The thirty-day and one-year total mortality rates were calculated as 5.1% and 10%, respectively. The rate of major cardiovascular events (myocardial infarction, hospitalization due to revascularization, cerebrovascular events and death) was 11.5% for the first 30 days. In hospital major bleeding rate was 1.3%. Non-receival of invasive treatment and presence of high GRACE score (>140) were found to the independent predictors of one-year mortality.
