OP-015 Progression of Inflammatory Biomarkers Early After Intracardiac Device Implantation

Background

There is lacking of data in current literature concerning the natural progression of the inflammatory biomarkers after the intracardiac electronic device (ICED) implantation. We sought to determine C- reactive protein and white cell counts levels in 5 days following the ICED implantation.

Methods

We retrospectively investigated totally 131 patients who implanted ICED between 2012 and 2015 in our heart center. Patient’s demographic and clinical findings, biochemical results and type of ICED were collected. The levels of C- reactive protein (CRP) and white blood cell before and in first, third and fifth days of the procedure were noted. The relation between collected data and progression of biomarkers was studied with appropriate statistical methods.
