Nitroprusside: a reliable drug for fractional flow reserve assessment
Introduction
FFR measurement is a growing practice used to evaluate intermediate coronary lesions. Intracoronary (ic) bolus of adenosine or infusion is the preferred method of vasodilation; however, there is little information about another drug that is reliable and safe for this purpose.
Objective
To evaluate nitroprusside 50 μg ic bolus as an alternative for FFR measurement.
Objective
To evaluate nitroprusside 50 μg ic bolus as an alternative for FFR measurement.
Methods
A multicentric, randomized clinical trial to assess the diagnostic agreement degree between adenosine and nitroprusside in FFR measurement (adenosine 120 μg ic and subsequently nitroprusside 50 μg ic or vice versa for each lesion evaluated).
