PP-184 Relationship Between Vitamin 12 and Syntax Score




Vitamin B12 is required components in the metabolism of homocysteine (Hcy). Deficiency of vitamin B 12 has been implicated in endothelial dysfunction and cardiovascular disease via Hyperhomocysteinemia. However, the association vitamin B12, and severity of coronary artery disease has not been studied up to date. This study was conducted with the aim to evaluate the relationship between vitamin B12 and SYNTAX score.


Material-Method


The medical records of consecutive patients, who underwent CABG surgery between January 2014 and January 2016, were retrospectively reviewed.


The study group was involved in 127 patients. Vitamin 12, other biochemical parameters, clinical and echocardiographic parameters, SYNTAX score were evaluated in all patients.
