Aortic Dissection in Our Emergency Service
Objective
The diagnosis which can be fatal of the patients presenting to out emergency service with the sudden onset of chest pain and back pain should be evaluated primarily. One of these diagnosis is aortic dissection. Rapid progression and increase of mortality in hours reveal that there is a case not to be overlooked. In this study, we aimed to present the characteristics of patients referred to the emergency service in our hospital with the diagnosis of aortic dissection or diagnosed in emergency service.
Methods
43 aortic dissection patients who present to emergency service with chest pain, back pain or cardiac arrest between January 2012-December 2015 were examined by scanning retrospectively the records in the database of our hospital.
