PP-110 Impact of Lobe Number of Left Atrial Appendage on Cryoballoon-based Pulmonary Vein Isolation

Objectives

Previous studies have demostrated that left atrial appendage (LAA) has a role in initiation and maintenance of atrial fibrillation (AF) and is the major source of thromboembolism. In this study, we aim to investigate the relationship between LAA lobe number and outcome of cryoballoon- based pulmonary vein isolation (PVI).

Methods

AF patients who underwent cardiac computed tomography prior to PVI with cryoballoon were included. Anatomical features of LAA were investigated from 3- dimensional reconstructions of the left atrium and pulmonary veins.
