PP-096 Relation Between Right Ventricular Myocardial Performance Index and Neutrophil to Lymphocyte Ratio after a First Acute Anterior Myocardial Infarction

Objectives

It has been shown that the neutrophil / lymphocyte ratio (NLR) has the highest predictive value in predicting death/MI in high risk patients for coronary artery disease, amongst different hematological indices. An infarction that involves the interventricular septum affects LV as well as RV function, which in theory, produces an increase of MPI. The aim of this study was to evaluate relation between right ventricular myocardial performance index (RV MPI) and NLR.

Methods

The subjects were 130 patients (106 male, 25 female, 59±12 years) with a first acute anterior myocardial infarction (AMI). Based on the RV MPI, they were classified into Group 1 (RV MPI < 0.45) of 75 patients and Group 2 (RV MPI ≥ 0.45) of 55 patients. Echocardiograms were used to determine RV MPI, in the 24 hours after the onset of AMI.
