PP-081 Taussig-Bing Anomaly: Diagnosed in the Obstetric Ultrasonography




Objective


To define the Taussig-Bing anomaly detected in the routine obstetrical US performed in the prenatal period.




Methods


The patient was 34-year-old case of spontaneous twin pregnancies. The healthy pregnant patient who continued in the normal course was sent to the US unit of our clinic for a routine second step further obstetric investigation.

Results


A detailed obstetric US examination in the second trimester in the 22nd week for congenital anomalies was performed to the 34 year old asymptomatic pregnant woman with spontaneous twin pregnancies. The first baby was normal. An intrauterine fetal cardiac pathology was found in the second baby. Aorta and pulmonary arteries were rising from the right ventricle and the ventricular septal defect was the only connection of the system detected with the left ventricule. The patient was diagnosed as Taussig-Bing anomaly according to these findings. Amniocentesis was performed for chromosome analysis. Results came normal and the case was diagnosed as isolated Taussig-Bing anomaly.
