PP-078 A Rare Condition: Glycogen Storage Disease Type 3




Introduction


A 34-year-old male patient with known history of glycogen storage disease type 3 presented to the cardiology department with progressive chest pain suggestive of unstable angina.




Method


Physical examination on admission revealed heart rate of 80 beats per minute and blood pressure of 120/80 mm Hg. His ECG on admission revealed ST segment depression in inferior and anterior leads with left ventricular hypertrophy (Fig. 1A). Initial hematologic indicates and biochemical parameters were normal limits. Transthoracic echocardiography revealed extensive myocardial hypertrophy with normally ventricular function without left ventricular outflow tract obstruction (Figure-1B). Patient transferred to coronary care unit to observation. Initial and 6 hours later troponin measurements were normally limit. After the observation patient was scheduled to myocardial perfusion imaging to evaluate myocardial ischemia however patient refused the therapy therefore beta blocker treatment dosage was increased and patient discharged to hospital 2 days from admission, and at 6 months follow-up, he was asymptomatic.
