PP-072 Relation between Diet Quality Index and Left Ventricular Myocardial Performance Index in Patients with Acute Coronary Syndrome

Objective

The aim of this study was to evaluate relation between Diet Quality Index (DQI) and left ventricular myocardial performance index (LV MPI).

Methods

This study was performed among 242 patients admitted to a coronary care unit in Cardiology Clinic with diagnosis of acute coronary syndrome. The questionnaire, including questions of personal information like age, sex, education status was completed by face to face interview. To assess their nutritional status, Diet Quality Index (DQI) was used. Echocardiograms were used to determine LV MPI, in the 24 hours after admission to coronary care unit. Based on the DQI score, they were classified into Group 1 (DQI ≤ 50) and Group 2 (DQI>50).
