PP-071 Comparison of Gensini Score calculated with Invasive Coronary Angiography and Multidetector Coronary Computed Tomography

Objective

Multidetector coronary computed tomography (MDCT) angiography has been used increasingly for the diagnosis of coronary artery disease. Gensini score is used for determining of atherosclerotic burden. The aim was to compare gensini scores calculated with invasive coronary angiography (ICA) and MDCT angiography.

Material-Method

We retrospectively evaluated 29 patients underwent both diagnostic tests. Gensini score was calculated as described previously. It was applied for ICA by an invasive cardiologist and for MDCT angiography by a radiologist whom blinded to the data of study population. We compared Gensini scores calculated with both methods each other and we analyzed the correlations of Gensini scores as well.

Results

The mean age was 63±12 (36-85). Thirteen of patients (%44.8) were female. Frequencies (n,%) of hypertension, diabetes, and hyperlipidemia, smoking were 18(37.9%), 7(24.1%), 14(48.3%), 8(27.6%), respectively. Comparison of the means of Gensini scores calculated from MDCT angiography and ICA (26.5±15.1 vs 28.2±23.3, p=0.636) were not statistically different. Gensini scores calculated from MDCT and ICA were significantly correlated (R=0.591, R2=0.350, p=0.001) (Figure).
