PP-063 Relation between Left Ventricular Myocardial Performance Index and Neutrophil/Lymphocyte Ratio in Patients with Anterior Myocardial Infarction

Objective

The neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) in the peripheral blood is reported to be an easily assessable factor. Amongst different hematological indices, it has been shown that the neutrophil / lymphocyte ratio (NLR) has the highest predictive value in predicting death / MI in high risk patients for coronary artery disease. The aim of this study was to evaluate relation between left ventricular myocardial performance index (LV MPI) and NLR.

Methods

The subjects were 123 patients (103 men, 20 women, 59±12 years) with a first anterior AMI.Based on the MPI, they were classified into Group 1 (LV MPI < 0.40) and Group 2 (LV MPI ≥ 0.40). Echocardiograms were used to determine LV MPI, in the 24 hours after the onset of AMI.
