Pericardial Effusion












Small posterior, < 1 cm;
Medium circumferential, < 1.5 cm;
Large circumferential, ≥ 1.5 cm;

Epicardial fat small, anterior echo free space, absence of posterior echo free space;


Pericardial fluid excludes aorta; Pleural fluid wraps around it.
