OP-81 The Relationship between Alteration in QRS Fragmentation and in-Hospital Outcomes in Acute Myocardial Infarction Treated with Primary Percutenous Coronary Intervention

Objectives

Fragmented QRS(fQRS), defined as additional spikes within the QRS complex, has been proven as an indicator of worse outcomes in a variety of cardiovascular disorders. However, the importance of alterations in fQRS in the course of acute ST elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) still needs to be evaluated in further studies. In this study, we sought to investigate the relationship between fragmentation processes and in-hospital outcomes in STEMI patients treated with primary PCI.

Methods

224 consecutive STEMI patients who underwent primary PCI were enrolled in our study. The cardiac outcomes during hospitalization period were defined as cardiac death, reinfarction, development of congestive heart failure, cerebrovascular events and life threatening arrhythmias. fQRS was screened at admission, during hospitalization and before hospital discharge.
