Objective
Continuous dynamic 24 hour ECG (Holter) monitoring is the most important non-invasive method in diagnosis and treatment of arrhythmias in children. Arrhythmias are disorders of frequency and regularity of heart rhythm, which are result of disturbances in the creation and/or implementation of stimulus in heart muscles. Unlike adults, the mechanism of arrhythmia in children is more diverse- circulation, subsequent potential, automatisms (incidence is 2% significant, 25% insignificant). The aim of this study was to display the place and role of mentioned method in daily clinical practice of pediatric cardiologists.
Methods
Data were collected from the “Register of ECG Holter monitoring” of Pediatric Clinic, CCUS, Bosnia and Herzegovina from the period January 2011.- January 2015.
