OP-119 Echocardiographic Assessment of Athlete Handicapped, a Single Center Study




Background


The goal of recent study is comparison of left ventricle of handicapped weightlifters and basketball players with non-athletes people in Tehran province.




Methods


Subjects of the test include 24 athletes and 8 non-athletes and the range of their ages were 34-52. They were chosen randomly among handicapped weightlifters and basketball players with three years experiences in these sports. Non-athletes group were also handicapped and two dimensional echocardiography method of m- mode, 2D was used.
