OP-016 5-HT2B Receptor Blockade Improves Myocardial Ischemia-reperfusion Injury in Rats Heart through Modulating Akt/GSK-3β/eNOS

Objective

Herein, we studied the functional interaction between 5-HT2B receptor blocker (SB-204741) and GSK-3β inhibitor (SB-216763) in myocardial-ischemia reperfusion injury in rats.

Methods

To evaluate this hypothesis, either SB-204741 or SB-204741 plus SB-216763 were administered to rats for 28 days, and on 29th day, one-stage ligation of left anterior descending coronary artery for 45 min was performed, followed by 60 min reperfusion.
