Background
Heart failure and death are a common problem in patients with mitral stenosis in developing countries. Since 1982, percutaneous dilation of the mitral valve using a balloon catheter has become a therapeutic alternative to open or closed heart surgery. Although the efficacy of percutaneous mitral valve balloon dilation is well established with the Inoue balloon, its comparison with multitrack balloon is needed.
