On page 923, the sentence beginning “When viewed through the lens …” contains an error in the equation “V = Q/.” The correct sentence with the full equation should read “When viewed through the lens of value (V)—which may be thought of as the quotient of the quality of care (Q) and the resources (R) utilized to provide that care—if V = Q/R, then the US healthcare system is underperforming.” The publisher would like to apologize for any inconvenience caused.
