Atrial Fibrillation, Dyspnea with Heavy Exertion
The patient is a 47-year-old man with a history of atrial fibrillation. Eleven months prior to the transthoracic echocardiogram, he underwent a prolonged atrial fibrillation ablation procedure. He now returns complaining of dyspnea with heavy exertion. A transesophageal echocardiogram is done to further evaluate his dyspnea (Fig. 28-1).
